💳 The Transactions Section
Your real-time activity center for in-store QR payments, online purchases, WooCommerce orders, and invoice payments.
The Transactions section is your business’s command center for managing every payment made through Our Mayberry. Whether a customer buys online, pays an invoice, purchases an offer, or scans an in-store payment QR code, it all flows into this one place.
This is also where you can manually enter charges or send invoice payment requests — two additional tools designed to give businesses complete flexibility in how they take payments through the system.
1. What You’ll See When You Open the Transactions Page
The page is divided into two main areas:
A. Pending In-Store Payment Requests (Real-Time QR Code Payments)
If someone scans one of your Payment QR codes, a new pending request will appear at the top of the page — waiting for you (the business) to enter the purchase amount.
The pending section displays:
- Customer name (or Guest payment)
- The location associated with the QR code (e.g., Register 1, Table 4, Home, etc.)
- A required field to enter the Total Amount Due
- CHARGE and CANCEL buttons
This is where real-time in-store purchases are processed.
B. Recent Transactions List
Below the pending area is a chronological list of all activity, including:
- In-store QR code payments
- Online purchases from your Offers page
- Gift card sales
- WooCommerce purchases (if integrated)
- Invoice payments
- Manual charges
- Voided or canceled transactions
Each row includes:
- Transaction type (IN STORE, ONLINE, INVOICE, etc.)
- Customer name (if provided)
- Dollar amount
- Transaction status
- A timestamp (in reports view)
This gives you a quick snapshot of everything happening in your business.
2. Real-Time QR Code Payments (How They Work)
Your business can generate unique Payment QR Codes — each associated with a location:
- Register 1
- Register 2
- Table 7
- Tasting Room
- Counter
- “Home” (for test/demo)
- And more
How customers use this system:
- They scan the QR code with their phone.
- They confirm they want to make a payment.
- You instantly receive a notification:
“In-Store Purchase Request” - A pending transaction appears in the Transactions section.
- You enter the total amount, click CHARGE, and the customer completes payment on their phone.
This replaces the need for a POS system — letting you take in-store card payments instantly.
3. Completing a Pending QR Code Payment
From the pending box:
- Enter the Total Amount the customer owes.
- Click CHARGE.
- The customer is immediately prompted to complete payment.
- Once paid, the transaction appears as Completed in your Recent Transactions list.
If you need to cancel the request:
- Click CANCEL
- The system notifies the customer their payment was canceled
4. Manual Charge (Additional Feature)
One of the two optional payment tools available in the Transactions section is Manually Enter Charge.
This is used to:
- Charge a customer directly (without using a QR code)
- Enter a purchase amount and send the customer a payment link
- Accept a payment for a service, product, or special circumstance
- Process payments without setting up an offer
This is perfect for:
- Custom services
- One-off sales
- Remote purchasers
- Phone orders
- Walk-ins where you want to charge digitally
The payment appears immediately in your Transactions list once completed.
5. Create Invoice (Additional Feature)
The other optional payment tool is Create Invoice, also located at the top-right of the page.
Use this when:
- You want to bill a client or customer
- You’re selling a service or product that requires invoicing
- You want to include contribution options with the payment
- You need to request payment for work already performed
How it works:
- Create the invoice using the built-in invoice tool.
- The customer receives a payment link.
- When they pay, the transaction appears in your list as an INVOICE payment.
- Contribution percentages (if enabled for invoices) are applied automatically.
Invoices work beautifully for service businesses, nonprofits, consultants, or anyone needing flexible billing.
6. Transaction Statuses You May See
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting for Business | Customer scanned a QR code and is waiting for you to enter the amount. |
| Completed | Payment was successfully processed. |
| Canceled by Business | You declined the payment request. |
| Canceled by Customer | The customer canceled before payment. |
| Failed | Payment did not go through (rare). |
7. Viewing Reports
In the Recent Transactions header, you’ll see a link:
View Reports >>
This takes you to your more detailed reporting dashboard, where you can:
- Filter by date range
- See totals for specific payment types
- Export data (depending on your plan)
- View contribution summaries
- Review detailed transaction logs
8. What Makes the Transactions Section Powerful
The Transactions section gives your business:
✔ Real-time, point-of-sale payment capability through QR codes
✔ Visibility into every online, invoice, and WooCommerce payment
✔ The ability to manually enter charges
✔ A full invoicing system built in
✔ Automatic contribution tracking
✔ A unified view of all payment activity
